31 Days of Horror

AKOP-31daysofhorror

Welcome! It’s almost Halloween and we are counting down the days with our last horror-themed episode. This week, we have special guest Rizielde Roculan who challenges us to 31 days of horror. Rizie has taken on 31 days/31 horror movies and we go through all the movies she’s seen so far. How many has Shawn seen? How many has Earl seen? Well for Earl, probably zero, but there is only one way to find out for sure. We also get into why Rizie loves horror movies and the true meaning of Christmas. Not really, BUT REALLY! So put on your Halloween hat, whatever that is, and listen to our last horrific podcast for this Halloween.

Let it begin…the show now!

A Nightmare on Elm Street

AKOP-nightmare

One, Two, Shawn and Earl are coming for you. Was that lame? Ok let me try this: Five, Six, Shawn and Earl grabbed their crucifix? No? Forget it.

It’s another great Halloween episode and this week it’s a special one for Shawn: On November 9th, 1984, A Nightmare on Elm Street was released to theaters and on October 11, 2014, Earl and Shawn celebrated the 30th anniversary by seeing it on the big screen. Today we talk all things Freddy, except the beginning where we talk Apple? Whatever. This episode is a celebration for one of Shawn’s favorite things and Earl is strapped in for the ride. So sit back and relax as we get into some heavy Freddy talk and remember:

WHATEVER YOU DO… DON’T FALL SLEEP… on a subway because someone may steal your nice headphones and you paid like what, $100 bucks for those.

Let it begin… the show now!

Spooky AKOP Night

AKOP-spookynight

“Three horror movies, one scared Earl Aspiras: Welcome to AKOP Spooky Nights!”

Let me tell you a tale, a tale about a man named Earl Aspiras who told a another man, Shawn Lotte, he was scared of horror movies. He was so scared, in fact, he hasn’t seen very many purely out sheer fear. Shawn proposed to him an idea, an idea that would change his life forever: AKOP Spooky Nights.

We present to you a new frontier in All Kinds of Philler: Presented to Earl are three different horror movies, each one representing a different aspect of the genre. Then we sit him down and watch him cry. Not really, but we do discuss each film in depth with returning guest Patrick Barfoot and delve into a genre that Earl is not proficient in.

Get ready for some great in depth analysis of three horror films sure to set the mood for Halloween – that may haunt Earl for the rest of his life.

*SPOILER WARNING: We spoil the hell out of these movies and as much as they are older horror movies we have to ask: If you haven’t seen either Hellraiser, The Thing (1982) or Child’s Play then have some fun this Halloween, watch these movies, and then come back and listen to the show.

Let it begin…the show now!
