Riffing on TIFF 2014

AKOP-TIFF2014

This week Earl and Shawn head to the red carpet at TIFF 2014! The AKOP crew hang out to see a couple films and record this episode live, leading to all sorts of crazy stories. We talk about the films Nightcrawler and The Intruder, and offer up their reviews on them and the festival. Also, Shawn gets into his experience as a first-time TIFF goer, Earl talks about his Q&A reverence, and Patrick hijacks (or Bojacks?) the podcast with his Will Arnett impression. And along the way, we talk about randomly meeting the director and lead of The Intruder, our line-up neighbour liking our Instagram photo, and getting caught in the storm of the century.

Guest:
“Will Arnett” (aka Patrick Barfoot) – Star of Bojack Horseman

What we’ve been checking out:
Shawn: Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright (Game), Diablo III, Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Film)
Earl: Mini Metro (Game), Bojack Horseman (TV), Guilty Gear XX OST (Music)
Patrick: Scandinavian TV & Film course

They also manage to bring up Martin Scorsese, Bob Dylan, and True Detective to the mix. (Some spoilers for this episode.)
