Twas the AKOP Night Before Christmas

AKOP-AKOPXmasNight2

“Three Holiday things, one Christopher Walken: Welcome to Twas the AKOP Night Before Christmas!”

Happy Holidays to all, and to all GET PUMPED!!!!!! BRO! Soooooooo welcome to another installment of AKOP Nights wherein this episode we tackle not three holiday movies but two TV specials and one movie. We are doing things differently and why not it’s the holidays. So if you are new to AKOP Nights, here is the drill: Earl, Shawn and Patrick all pick a movie, or TV show in this case, and they have to watch all three. When each show is done they discuss the selection for your listening enjoyment. And in keeping with the Chris titling, we have a very special guest: “Christopher Walken”!

What are the three picks you ask: Well don’t let anyone know we told you but: Earl choose the recently released TV special Black Mirror/White Christmas. Patrick dove back into his childhood and picked The Muppet Family Christmas, and finally Shawn picked, of course, a Christmas horror movie in the form of Black Christmas.

Get that eggnog and shove some tinsel in your mouth because we are ready for the holidays…are you?

Let it begin…the night now.

*SPOILER WARNING: We spoil the hell out of these shows and we have to ask: If you haven’t seen either Black Mirror/White Christmas, The Muppet Family Christmas or Black Christmas then have some fun this holiday season, watch these shows, and then come back and listen to the show.

Paranormal Destination & Buggy Video Games

AKOP-paranormaldestination0

We are almost done. This is it folks, the end is near. Of course I am talking about the end of the year and not the show. We wouldn’t do that to you, unlike some shows would…*sniffle*…Sons of Anarchy. Anyway, we are getting down to the wire and with this week’s episode we get into the recent trend of crossover movies, broken video games (because that’s a trend now) and the current state of JRPGs and Square Enix. We’ve only got two more episodes to close out the year and then it’s the end…of the year. So take a break and listen to our show about stuff…and sex, but not really.

Let it begin… the show now!

A Nightmare on Elm Street

AKOP-nightmare

One, Two, Shawn and Earl are coming for you. Was that lame? Ok let me try this: Five, Six, Shawn and Earl grabbed their crucifix? No? Forget it.

It’s another great Halloween episode and this week it’s a special one for Shawn: On November 9th, 1984, A Nightmare on Elm Street was released to theaters and on October 11, 2014, Earl and Shawn celebrated the 30th anniversary by seeing it on the big screen. Today we talk all things Freddy, except the beginning where we talk Apple? Whatever. This episode is a celebration for one of Shawn’s favorite things and Earl is strapped in for the ride. So sit back and relax as we get into some heavy Freddy talk and remember:

WHATEVER YOU DO… DON’T FALL SLEEP… on a subway because someone may steal your nice headphones and you paid like what, $100 bucks for those.

Let it begin… the show now!
